The Last of the Vacation!

Since the drive to South Carolina was so grueling, hubby and I had decided when we drove back home from vacation to take two days with the driving.

So, we decided to do a little side trip which added another 250 miles onto our trip home, but it was so worth it!

We drove through the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway, then kept right on going which meant we were able to visit the Shenandoah National Park.  What beautiful scenery we got to see!

Here's just a small taste of what we got to see!

It was a bit of a hazy day.  We had a few raindrops along the way, so the pictures could have been a bit clearer if only the weather had cooperated.

And since hubby and I were there alone, we opted to take separate pictures of each other.  There was hardly anyone on the road or inside the park to help us out by getting a picture with both of us in it, so we did the best we could.

It was a wonderful vacation, and unfortunately, it's over, but we have some great memories of our trip to South Carolina!

Glad you had a great time. Looks like a a beautiful way to travel.

In that last picture, you remind me of my friend Kate who lives here. She and her husband moved here from Maryland to take a local church several years ago.
