The Header!

My new header isn't perfect, but it'll do for now!

Once again, I can thank Jennifer for all her help!

The picture in the header is Chimney Bluff at a nearby State Park. Isn't it beautiful? Lake Ontario with all its self-induced weather can sure form some pretty landscapes, can't she?

I do live in a pretty part of the country, I just don't like how 'pretty' snow can be!!! I've seen enough of that for one year.

Spring come soon!

You have some gorgeous photos! Thanks for sharing!! And thanks for missing my posts, too...it's nice to be missed! :-) So how did you figure out the three-column thing?? lol

Beautiful picture.

I like snow but we didn't get enough to even say we had snow this winter.

I do like the 3 columns. Everything looks so clean!

Your header photo looks squished. I suggest opening it in something like Microsoft photo editor, then use the crop and resize tools until the picture is around 660x180. THEN upload it. Blogger is squishing your photo to fit in the space.

I know, Jennifer, I'm planning on working on my header tomorrow. It has something to do with the fact that now I'm 3-columns it's more like 880 pixels in width instead of 660 (which is 2-columns). At least that's what I'm thinking.

Of course your header needs to be wider! Silly me. You're exactly right: the header outer wrapper is 880px. But the inner border looks like it's 5px smaller, so you may want to start with a photo that's 870px wide and see how that looks. And if you don't like the border (or it's not lining up right), you can edit the HTML to fix it. Just edit the code to say "border: 0px" instead of 1px. There are two borders, so you'll have to do it in two places: under "header-wrapper" and "header" (does that make sense?).

That does make sense, since I changed to the 3-column...the instructions on the link you gave me were very good and I actually understand what you're talking about.
