Like the New Look?

There's a new feature with blogger called 'Blogger in Draft.'  If you have blogger and you look in the dashboard, you can check mark the 'Blogger in Draft' then get to try out their 'new features' before everyone else.

Well, quite a while ago I checked that 'Blogger in Draft' button, but never saw anything new to try other than your posts will 'save' automatically without pushing the 'save' button.  Nice feature, but not anything to write about.

But Blogger's new feature of vamping up your template is really cool.  No more fiddling with HTML code to get three-columned blogs, or colorful blogs, or making your blog columns wider, etc.

So I tried it last night.

Not sure what I think of this design, but I'm hoping they come out with a whole bunch more as time goes on.

All you have to do to use this wonderful feature is to click the little box for 'Blogger in Draft' then go to 'Layout.'  There's a new heading called 'Designer Templates.'  Use that to change up your blog look by just clicking on the choices that you like.  Just be aware of the fact that whatever design you had before (if from another blogging designer) will be gone.

What do you think?

It's very springy. Not bad at all. And the more of it that loads, the better I like it.

Ehart, does it load slow for you? You are one of about 5 people who read my blog, so I wouldn't mind changing it if it loads too slow:)

No, it's fine. I actually loads better than the previous look. It just starts out with the bright green background and the first time that was a bit startling.

Then I get the lighter green behind the posts and finally the dandilions at the top. It's sort of like painting a picture or making an afghan--it's a work in progress.

I actually think I get to enjoy it in a different way from the rest of the world. Sometimes I wish everyone was on dial-up so they would have to take the time to enjoy each piece as it comes.
