My son has been home exactly one whole day. Things are so different around the house!
We're going through a little transitioning period.
The basement floor next to my washer and dryer has my son's entire college wardrobe sitting in baskets and trash bags. Yup, it's the true Mt. Laundry. I don't think I've done that much laundry in total for hubby and I since he went to college in August.
Guess what MY SON is going to be doing this weekend?
I also came home from work to the television set on, but no one sitting in the room to watch.
I also came home and kicked up my feet for a few minutes and the boy came in and said, "What's for dinner?"
I reached into the crevices of my fried brain and replied, "Oh, I thought we'd have some of those perch that you caught and put in the freezer during your winter break."
As I sat contemplating what side dishes I would make to go with the fish (I don't always plan ahead too well), I heard pots, pans, and dishes being banged around in the kitchen. I pulled my tired, aching bones up from the couch, walked to the kitchen to find my son amongst 3 times the amount of cookware that I would be using to make dinner.
He smiled and said, "Mom, go relax, I'll get dinner on the table."
Can you tell why I love that boy so much?

Mt Laundry--I totally understand.
Good to have him home though.
