Update on Life in General

The boy called tonight. Apparently the flu is slowly dwindling, but the cough is a bit annoying. It's better, just lingering. He seemed in good spirits. He's finally so happy to be feeling better. It's been two weeks since he came down with the flu and he said the germs are still flying around the dorm.

One student made a trip to the hospital. He got feeling a bit better, but ended up having a relapse. He was running a fever today and Bryce said he looked awful.

One of Bryce's friends went home over the weekend, because he felt so sick. Apparently, he made a visit to his family doctor and his flu had turned into pneumonia.

Well, it's a nasty bug, but he seems to have overcome it at last, well at least mostly, he's over it.

DH's elbow is better, but the ankle is bothering him a bit still. It's hard when you stand on concrete all day for an ankle to get much relief. He took it easy this weekend, so I think it helped.

Weather has been hitting in the high 40's and low 50's, so it's been pleasant. Light breezes have made it feel a little bit nippy, but it's better than 10 degrees and snow!

I was outside this weekend and saw my tulips just starting to peep their little heads above the soil.

Yes, spring is slow to come up here in the Great White North, but I think we're getting there.

Syracuse lost in the finals of the Big East Tournament. Louisville is a very good team, and Syracuse had already played 4 games before they met Louisville in the final game, so I think they were out of steam.

We didn't actually watch the game as we went to play cards for the evening with some friends. We had good food and good company. Can't ask for more than that.

Yup, life is a bit boring here in Po'dunkville, but I sometimes like it that way. I like a life with little drama. It suits me fine!

I'm glad Bryce is feeling better. DH had a dry cough for WEEKS after the flu. Hope Bryce gets rid of his a little sooner.

I love tulips! Ours are 4-6 inches tall, but no blooms yet. The peach tree, however, is in full bloom - fuschia, gorgeous. I should take a picture and post it...

Thanks, Jennifer!

Bryce is coming home on Friday and he asked that I make an appointment to the Dr's, so I guess he's tired of it.

Four to six inches of tulips is great growth!

Please post pics of the fuschias. I absolutely love fuschias. When we lived in CA, I had them growing in my back yard. Here....it's just too harsh of a winter for them to survive outdoors past fall.

Oops, I meant fuschia-colored blossoms on the peach tree. It's probably too harsh for fuschias here too.

I saw your fuschia-colored blossoms on your blog and they are beautiful!
