Internet Religion

Don't believe everything you read! I am a strong believer that God gave us a brain to use not to sit pretty between our two ears. You know?

Okay, I belong to a few message boards. Three of them are biblical sites. What I've noticed recently is that many go out and just randomly? google things and read and believe everything they read. How sad!

Personally, I read my bible. I have visited many biblical websites, but I use caution when I do. I don't read any material on Biblical sites that I haven't researched or understood first from the Bible. If I'm not sure about a certain piece of doctrine, I'm definitely not going to be researching on the world wide web. I'll search my Bible first.

The reason you ask? Well, I think it's too easy to fall prey to false teachers. We don't always know much about where this person is coming from, but I definitely know where my Bible comes from....God.

So, my penniless advice is this: Don't believe everything you read on the internet!

Wonderfully said! I do a whole lot of reading online and sometimes my jaw drops to the floor at what folks are claiming as facts on blogs and message boards.

I know, my own jaw has dropped to the floor recently, too! It's just tiring to hear that on October 15th or December 12, 2012 we're facing the last day here on earth as we know it. Also, a whole lot of other things I've been reading. Makes me want to not read some things.

I guess we'll leave those things to the Lord. After all only He knows the time and day....KWIM?
